The Kids of Allen Port

I’d like to share with you some of the shots  I took during my Samar Trip.

I always capture moments of everyday life, something I see along the way.  For me, they are the most meaningful ones, something that expresses a real story.  My trip in Samar is one of my favorites because I got to capture locals’ everyday lives and I am  posting some of them here.

The photos were taken in Allen Port, Samar.  While waiting for the RORO to be filled, these kids go up at the top of the ferry to dive as passengers throw coins into the water.  This is a common sight at the port, they do this to make a living.  If I go back to this place I’d like to interview some of them and share their stories with you!  I admire them for doing this.  They are too young to work but that’s the reality, it’s their everyday living.
